Thanks to all the nice folks for already giving me some feedback to say that they like this concept. I've always thought that our business is ripe with humorous situations. If any of you have a particular idea you would like me to illustrate in this strip, let me know. -Kyle
Good question, John. Well, actually, it was not intended to be insulting to either. It was supposed to illustrate something that happens to all of us from time to time, and I hadn't though much past that!
Thanks, Steve! Yeah, I hung that punchline out there without explicitly saying it, because I knew all the illustrators out there would draw the sad conclusion...
Glad you are liking the comic and I'm going to post another one this week (maybe two if I'm not busy sleeping or watching Dr. Phil).
Guilty as charged too :) Delighted to see someone making a decent, humorous contribution to the profession. Adds a bit of glamor to an otherwise slightly dusty perception.
I have about 20 of these things written down (just need to draw them!), but if you have an idea for one, please send it along, by all means! So glad you like the comic.
Hah!! Isn't that the way! SAFE usually wins. Good strategy to try and drive the situation. I think we all try that sometimes, conciously or un!! Ha ha.
I love the little character in these comics, and how he is always in the same position at the drawing board. So funny!

Is this insulting to illustrators or art directors?

Well, I'm guilty as charged. ON BOTH COUNTS: as illustrator and art director. Double Demerit.
Nooo!!
The fool!
You just KNOW they'll pick the lame one.
I'm digging this comic and look forward to seeing more.
Cool work, Kyle!

Do you want contributions?
Hi, Arty,
I have about 20 of these things written down (just need to draw them!), but if you have an idea for one, please send it along, by all means! So glad you like the comic.
Best wishes,
Kyle

Oh, sad but true... thanks for making me laugh and cringe at the same time.
